I confirm this bug. I'm using Synergy client 1.3.1 on a Feisty laptop and Synergy server 1.3.1 on a windows machine. I had the same configuration in Edgy and it worked correctly.
I'm not experiencing any network lockups in other applications. Ssh and NX are working just fine. I cannot say anything about skype because I don't use it.
