Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: indicator-sound

Steps to reproduce:

1. Click the sound menu indicator
2. Move the cursor in straight line towards the slider handle.

What happens:

Most of the time, messaging drop-down menu opens. You need to make a
very precise and deliberate movement to reach the slider, or you'll
switch from sound indicator to messaging menu. It gets worse if you're
using a touchpad. Disabled people must find this unusable.

I recorded my desktop to illustrate.

What should happen:

It shouldn't be hard to change your volume.
