Public bug reported: Binary package hint: util-linux
I unmounted my external disk via the Nautilus right-click->"Safely remove drive" menu item. When I went to remount the disk (given a label titan to always mount at /media/titan), it ended up being mounted at /media/titan_ since /media/titan still existed. This manifested itself in Banshee being unable to find any of the music that lives on that disk. It was impossible to remove /media/titan: j...@rigel:~$ sudo rm -rf /media/titan rm: cannot remove directory `/media/titan': Device or resource busy and furthermore, nothing shows up as using it in the output from lsof: j...@rigel:~$ lsof | grep /media/titan j...@rigel:~$ The only way round this that I have found is to reboot, delete the /media/titan directory (now no longer busy) and remount the disk.
