Public bug reported: Binary package hint: usbmount
Feisty beta. Strange behavior when hotplugging an external USB hard disk. It's not automatically mounted because the system believes it's a CD-ROM drive!!! I've rebooted, it's not solved. Here the output from dmesg: [ 1233.952000] scsi3 : SCSI emulation for USB Mass Storage devices [ 1233.952000] usb-storage: device found at 6 [ 1233.952000] usb-storage: waiting for device to settle before scanning [ 1238.952000] usb-storage: device scan complete [ 1238.952000] scsi 3:0:0:0: Direct-Access FUJITSU MHV2080BH PQ: 0 ANSI: 2 [ 1238.976000] SCSI device sda: 156301488 512-byte hdwr sectors (80026 MB) [ 1238.976000] sda: Write Protect is off [ 1238.976000] sda: Mode Sense: 38 00 00 00 [ 1238.976000] sda: assuming drive cache: write through [ 1239.000000] SCSI device sda: 156301488 512-byte hdwr sectors (80026 MB) [ 1239.000000] sda: Write Protect is off [ 1239.000000] sda: Mode Sense: 38 00 00 00 [ 1239.000000] sda: assuming drive cache: write through [ 1239.000000] sda: sda1 [ 1239.084000] sd 3:0:0:0: Attached scsi disk sda [ 1239.084000] sd 3:0:0:0: Attached scsi generic sg0 type 0 [ 1241.840000] UDF-fs: No VRS found [ 1241.884000] Unable to identify CD-ROM format.
