Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: usbmount

Feisty beta.

Strange behavior when hotplugging an external USB hard disk. It's not
automatically mounted because the system believes it's a CD-ROM drive!!!
I've rebooted, it's not solved. Here the output from dmesg:

Mounting it manually works:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo mount /dev/sda1 /media/disk/
Password:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ mount|grep sda
/dev/sda1 on /media/disk type vfat (rw)
