Public bug reported:

I'm using ubuntu-7.04-beta-alternate-i386.iso and checked the md5sum.
When I try to partition the hard disk using lvm it fails because the
kernel doesn't support (at least according to the error message). With
herd5 (feisty-alternate-i386.iso) this didn't happen on the same
hardware (Asus P5LD2/C, installation HDD (80GB Samsung) at ITE8211F ide
controller).

** Affects: Ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
