I followed the procedure listed (ie add edgy-proposed repository and then upgrade). The upgrade tool did pop up and asked whether to go through with upgrades. But it got stuck in the first stage itself (it said "downloading file 61 of 63" forever). I tried this a more few times, but it didn't work.
