That problem is fixed in recent FreeCAD sourcecode (fixed in r3179). FreeCAD is now able to use any version of pivy. The version that will go in 10.10 (r3247) includes the fix, but I'm not sure what will happen with the 10.04 version, if it will get updated or not...
