Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: uae

When using keyboard keys as joystick, you can only use the predefined UAE
choices:
1) numeric pad
2) cursor keys/right ctrl
3) T/F/H/B/Left alt
(the joystick emulation keys are set under "input devices" in the main UAE
panel)

But in 1) and 3), the down key is poorly chosen as it is 2 keys away
from the up key. Since you always use the same finger for up and down,
the down key needs to be adjacent to the up key, as it is in the normal
arrow key layout.

When I recently used 2) and 3) simultaneously while playing with a
friend, it resulted in us pushing CTRL-ALT-(arrow key) simultanously,
which caused the Ubuntu windows manager to move us to a different
virtual desktop. So UAE needs different default keys here, or UAE needs
to override the virtual desktop switching.

This it doesn't seem to be possible to configure custom joystick
emulation keys, it is especially important that the predefined UAE keys
are sane.
