Public bug reported: In both gnome-terminal and terminator, I can reliably generate minor corruption of the terminal window as follows: - open a terminal window - maximise it to full screen - ensure the terminal background is white - open another window (e.g. Firefox or Thunderbird) to full screen, covering the terminal window - minimise the covering window - black 'bars' appear in the lowest row of pixels in the terminal window (see attached screenshot)
I suspect this has something to do with the bottom part of the terminal window which is not large enough for a line of text; if the terminal window happens to be a multiple of the text height it may not happen. (I have not tried to confirm this.) I am using a 1440x900 screen resolution with a panel at the top and bottom. My 'Visual Effects' setting is 'None'. I am filing this against vte as I can reproduce it in two terminal emulators. If you need any more information please let me know. Apologies if this is a duplicate, but I did read through all the other rendering bugs and nothing seemed to match this.
