I'm facing the same problem on Lucid 64.with latesr official kernel.
The dongle seems to work after booting, can pair bt devices but suddenly
doesn't respond anymore and give "connection timed out".
I want to add that I was able to test another dongle from my friend with the
same chipset, and surprisingly it works perfectly.
As soon as i reconnect my dongle, I get the problem again.
The difference between the 2 dongles are that mine is a "micro" devise and the
other is a classic "pen" device, but, as i said, lsusb gives exactly the same
output for them: "Cambridge Silicon Radio, Ltd Bluetooth Dongle (HCI mode)"
So, i wonder if this is not a problem of the chip itself but of the firmware or
whatever else "surrounds" the chip and diferrs form on manufacturer to another.
Hope this can be useful, I'll attach my logs later.
