The suggested changes to php.ini does not seems to work as intended.. The problem actually is a more general problem with php 5.3 (As reported below), and I therefore recommend to update php 5.3.1 to at least php 5.3.2, where the problem is solved, and maybe raise the importance of the bug a bit ;).
