"A secondary issue complicated the install as well: in 9.04, 9.10 and 10.04, gparted does not see active fake raid devices, instead it lists physical disks. The workaround is to invoke "gparted /dev/mapper/jmicron_MIRROR", or whatever your RAID device name may be."
I haven't seen this last observation. Gparted in 9.04 for me shows all the raid partitions. I can't speak about 9.10 but have been recently in correspondence with someone who used the 9.10 live cd to create a target raid partition for a raid 0+1 to install 10.04 to. As stated in prior posts gparted has been useless for partitioning in 10.04 and the 10.10 pre-release. I'll have to look at the naming convention problem and report back. -- Gparted not usable on fakeraid arrays https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/600729 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
