Public bug reported:

I can hear constant crackling from built in speakers. Changing output/input
device to USB headphones nor muting all devices help to stop it. When I play
sound (any video or audio player) crackling intercepts the sound but only if
output device is built in audio. If output device is USB headphones, sounds
plays smoothly but cracking continues on built in speakers. I read and tried
several option or fixes suggested by people on forums however nothing seems to
help. My laptop is Sony Vaio VGN-SZ4vWN/X. Crackling is in frequency (slightly
less) and randomness like it was used as telegraph machine. Although not too
loud you can imagine how annoying this is.
Thanks
