Public bug reported:

Running any freeglut based application from a terminal with Xorg server
1.8 or later cause that terminal to be spammed with freeglut messages
like the following one:

freeglut (./myglutapp): Unknown X event type: 105

I am currently running Kubuntu Maverick AMD64 with Xorg-edgers PPA:
- freeglut3 2.6.0-0ubuntu2
- xserver-xorg-core 2:1.8.99.905+git20100714.a2c13f0d-0ubuntu0sarvatt

I had the same messages on Kubuntu Lucid AMD64 with Xorg-edgers PPA.

I have found two related fedora bugs :
- https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=595031

The fix released for fedora package was just to comment out the generation of
that annoying message :
-
http://cvs.fedoraproject.org/viewvc/rpms/freeglut/F-13/freeglut-2.6.0-noxwarn.patch?view=markup

** Affects: freeglut (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
