Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: man-db

I clicked on "Log Out Button" during the upgrade, which caused the
screen to blank, then have some pixellated garbage on the top rows, then
hang up completely. I left it for eight hours, but it was still locked.
I had to do a five-second power button restart. It did not manage to
reboot to a GUI, but I then did an "apt-get dist-upgrade -f" and it
seemed successful. I rebooted, and all now seems fine.
