It seems there is a problem with OpenJDK in 10.04, try running it with Sun Java JRE: 1) apt-get install sun-java6-jre 2) Add the following line in ~/.zekr/zekrrc-debian: ZEKR_JAVA_HOME=/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun
