First, you're probably right about the hyphen vs underscore thing. Second, it should have been 'find / -name "saa7134*"' instead, unless you do "cd /" first.
Anyway, the only way I think this can happen is if the kernel you are actually running is a different version than the kernel the module was compiled against.
