Updates: it seems there are two separate issues there: 1) User Agent Switcher extension cause this bug on all systems 2) Without UAS the bug occurs only on profiles *newly created* under Ubuntu 10.04 (and derivatives, like Mint 9). Migrated profiles are not affected (making more difficult to identify the problem cause).
