Pedro, Ok, I got advice on Ubuntu Forums to use program scrot to get a screenshot in Maverick. It works, but unfortunately, when I go to the terminal screen to run scrot, gnomines goes into Pause mode, so that is the screen that the shot is made of. It will not help to solve the problem.
