Public bug reported: Just bought a Plantronics wireless headset. It has the headset itself, and an USB dongle that is marked as PLANTRONICS Audio 995USB.
When I insert it in my desktop (fully updated Lucid), /var/log/syslog says: Jul 6 15:08:28 phenomenux kernel: [156846.320025] usb 2-2: new full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 99 Jul 6 15:08:29 phenomenux kernel: [156847.608522] usb 2-2: device not accepting address 99, error -62 Jul 6 15:08:29 phenomenux kernel: [156847.664030] hub 2-0:1.0: unable to enumerate USB device on port 2 And it just doesn't work (not even listed in lsusb). However, when I insert it in my laptop (also fully updated Lucid), I see in syslog: Jul 6 13:29:34 exopus kernel: [ 4128.068232] usb 5-1: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 2 Jul 6 13:29:35 exopus kernel: [ 4128.998416] usb 5-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice Jul 6 13:29:35 exopus kernel: [ 4129.011523] input: Plantronics Wireless Audio Plantronics Wireless Audio as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.0/usb5/5-1/5-1:1.3/input/input16 Jul 6 13:29:35 exopus kernel: [ 4129.011682] generic-usb 0003:047F:D955.0003: input,hiddev96,hidraw2: USB HID v1.01 Device [Plantronics Wireless Audio Plantronics Wireless Audio] on usb-0000:00:1d.0-1/input3 Jul 6 13:29:35 exopus kernel: [ 4129.060690] usbcore: registered new interface driver snd-usb-audio And there it works fine!! Of course, this bug (and all files attached) are about the desktop.
