Due to lucid's LTSness and the additional SRU focus on hardware enablement in LTSes I'm in favor of this update. The majority of the diff concerns the backends, which looks fine.
Some concerns: * Please fix this in maverick first. * debian/libsane.install.in drops usr/share/locale/, why? The "Updated HAL and udev support" and other bits which touch the frontend/API are more delicate to look at, but they look fine. We already had those as patches anyway.
