This seems to be something of an intermittent issue for me. A little while later, the PDF printer came back and was normal. However a few moments ago I turned on my regular printer and checked in the Printer dialog, and not only did it not list the PDF printer, it didn't even list my regular printer either. It was just empty. A quick restart, and now both printers are back again.
