We need some more information: Which applications are you using?
Can you attach error_log files of different jobs as described in "CUPS error_log" on https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingPrintingProblems? While a job is processing, run the command "top" in a terminal window to see which processes take how much CPU time and how much memory. Processes owned by the user "lp" (second column, "USER") are parts of the printing workflow. For the most CPU/memory-consuming processes run ps auxwww | grep <process number> Replace "<process number>" by the actual process number from the "top" output, first column ("PID"). The output contains the full command line of the process. Post this output here. ** Changed in: cups (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- Slow printer processing for HP Laserjet 2100 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/598919 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
