Public bug reported: Binary package hint: cups
The system claims a driver is and is not downloadable for HP 2605dn. To reproduce: - no printer needed (I found this bug while checking support for this model prior to purchasing) - Choose System->Administration->Printing from the top menu - click Add in the Printing window toolbar - choose 'LPT #1' (I have nothing connected to my parallel port, for what it's worth) - click Forward - choose 'Search for a printer driver to download' - type '2605dn' in the 'Make and model' text box - click Search - 'HP Color Laserjet 2605dn' appears in the 'Printer model' drop down menu - click Forward - the window changes to the attached screenshot, saying that 'there are drivers available for download' but with nothing apparently visible in the 'Downloadable Drivers' section, which is partly obscured by a large box saying 'With this choice no driver download will be performed. In the next steps a locally installed driver will be selected.' - despite the text in the box obscuring the 'Downloadable Drivers' section, the 'Forward' button is greyed out so there is no way to proceed to the 'next steps' ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 Package: cups 1.4.3-1ubuntu1.2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.32-22.36-generic 2.6.32.11+drm33.2 Uname: Linux 2.6.32-22-generic i686 Architecture: i386 Date: Sat Jun 26 21:36:41 2010 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS "Lucid Lynx" - Release i386 (20100427.1) Lpstat: Error: command ['lpstat', '-v'] failed with exit code 1: lpstat: No destinations added.
