I'm unable to reproduce this issue in Karmic, Lucid and Maverick, even with dutch locales (if I recognized dutch well). The only difference is that I installed fonts for a specific user instead of system wide install: - Create ~/.fonts/arialnarrow/ - Copy ARIALN*.TTF in ~/.fonts/arialnarrow/ - run fc-cache -fv
gnome-specimen lists 2 different fonts (which are the right ones) and the right fonts are used in openoffice. I suspect some kind of substitution occurs on you system. What's the output of $ fc-list | grep -i arial $ fc-match "arial narrow" Thanks in advance. ** Changed in: fontconfig (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- Arial Narrow: not recognised https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/475889 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
