I can confirm this Bug. I am using the amd64 version of Kubuntu 10.04 and K3B crashes also after converting audio files (flac, wav, etc.) into mp3-Files. As described above in the bug-report, everything works fine until the conversion of all files is finished. Then K3B hangs (and causes full system load), although the produced mp3-files seem to be ok. Just as described above, this problem only occurs when converting files into the mp3-format using lame.
This bug is quite annoying and I would really appreciate it being fixed.
