Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: apticron

Description: Ubuntu 9.10
Release: 9.10
------------------------------------
apticron:
  Installed: 1.1.35
  Candidate: 1.1.35
  Version table:
 *** 1.1.35 0
        500 http://dk.archive.ubuntu.com karmic/universe Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
------------------------------------
When setting packages on hold, using both aptitude and dpkg --set-selections,
aptitude and apt-get both say nothing to upgrade, and apt-get says that the
packages are on hold.

apticron still sends mail every day, that the packages on hold are
upgradable, though it should respect that the packages are held back.

** Affects: apticron (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
