Several Toshiba models have ACPI issues, so I marked it back as 'New' as Jeremy told. There are many bug reports about this problem: 20727, 22096, 81401, 128320, 210222, 241180, 340369, 471934. And these are just the ones I've found already. Running Ubuntu on many Toshiba models is getting worst and worst with newer Ubuntu releases...
