Tested again in Maverick with a custom-made adapter for this type of connection.
There are two options: Line-In, Microphone. - Line-In: works for the built-in microphone, does not get line signal from the single mic/headphone jack (probably on purpose... maybe it just doesn't belong on the Mini, or to use when only standard headphones are connected) - Microphone: works with both the built-in microphone and the external one, with jack-sensing. As there are now only 2 options and both seem to work as expected, I'm closing this bug as Fix Released. ** Changed in: alsa-driver (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Fix Released -- The Line-In microphone works as the built-in microphone on HP Mini 1000 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/532958 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
