Tobias, is there a reason you changed initrd.gz? Changing *only* the
/vmlinuz link worked for me:

sudo rm /vmlinuz
sudo ln -s /cdrom/casper/vmlinuz /vmlinuz

(I might be wrong about the last command, I mix up the parameters
sometimes.)
