Hi, So, when I try to read AAC files in Banshee/Rhythmbox, it ask me to install the package gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad to read those files. I accepte the plugin then it tells me: "Confirm installation of restricted software The use of this software may be restricted in some countries. You must verify that one of the following is true: * These restrictions do not apply in your country of legal residence * You have permission to use this software (for example, a patent license) * You are using this software for research purposes only"
If I accept the installation and ask for details, it first install Banshee and then install the plugin. And if I reinstall Banshee, the plugin is uninstalled... Hope I could help Have a nice day Mathieu 2010/6/4 Chow Loong Jin <hyper...@ubuntu.com> > On Friday 04,June,2010 09:29 PM, Mathieu wrote: > > Public bug reported: > > > > Binary package hint: banshee > > > > When launching an application to read music, the programme looks for > > appropriate codecs but installing theme uninstall banshee.
