@Tobias Wolf That's not what I meant. I did notice that there was an official, unpatched package that was more recent than yours but I didn't install it. I'm sure I have your patched versions installed but PDFs are still rendered using greyscale-antialiasing. I checked with xmag.
Adobe Reader does it right (tested with the same file). Any ideas what couldbe wrong?
