Red Hat also noted the bug back in 5.2 but relegated it to errata, then
didn't pick the bug back up.

Debian has a "work around" here.

http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=534622

basically edit a new file

/etc/logcheck/ignore.d.server/avahi-daemon

add this line to the file

^\w{3} [ :0-9]{11} [._[:alnum:]-]+ avahi-daemon\[[0-9]+\]: Invalid query
packet.$

save it and make sure that the ownership and permissions match the other
files in the dir. Then restart the Avahi Daemon. (restart avahi-
daemon) So far it seems to be working here.
