Red Hat also noted the bug back in 5.2 but relegated it to errata, then didn't pick the bug back up.
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=438013 Debian has a "work around" here. http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=534622 basically edit a new file /etc/logcheck/ignore.d.server/avahi-daemon add this line to the file ^\w{3} [ :0-9]{11} [._[:alnum:]-]+ avahi-daemon\[[0-9]+\]: Invalid query packet.$ save it and make sure that the ownership and permissions match the other files in the dir. Then restart the Avahi Daemon. (restart avahi- daemon) So far it seems to be working here. ** Bug watch added: Red Hat Bugzilla #438013 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=438013 ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #534622 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=534622 -- avahi logs invalid query without enough debug data https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/426909 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
