Hi Pedro, thanks for the reply and sorry for my delay replying. I didn't know 10.4 was available. I could work on that one and see but it will take me a while as I have many things on just right now, and I'm not sure I want to risk the time that might be wasted resetting everything to the way I want it after a major system upgrade.
In the mean time is there any log file that we could look at to see how the keyboard got lost? I'm sure that is the basic problem.
