Note, if I set the 'Connect server' (on the advanced tab) to: talk.google.com
I am successfully able to connect. I suspect that the Google Talk protocol plugin for Pidgin should default this setting so that individual users to not need to do this. Setting the Connect server is also required for people using 'Google Apps for Domains' with pidgin. http://www.google.com/support/a/bin/answer.py?hlrm=en&answer=49147 ** Changed in: pidgin (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed -- google talk is never authorized / fails to connect https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/566985 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
