Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-screensaver

After upgrading to gnome-screensaver 2.30.0-0ubuntu2 suspend works only
once after reboot. The second suspend will result in a blinking moon led
on my Thinkpad R51 and a hanging system. Only a power cycle can bring
the system back.

Downgrading to gnome-screensaver 2.30.0-0ubuntu1 solved the problem.
