Same bug, Lucid Lynx 64-bit, fglrx graphics driver, ATI Mobility Radeon 4500. Bug ONLY affects the water effect - all other Compiz effects work. Get dark screen when trying to initiate the effect. Tried upgrading to latest ATI driver (10.3), but the bug persists.
