I've also put cdrdao-1.2.3 and gcdmaster-1.2.3 packages in my ppa: https://launchpad.net/~renbag/+archive/ppa They have been build without any of the debian patches used for the 1.2.2 version (but many of them were already merged upstream). They work well with cd-audio in my system.
