If i quit the application (file->quit) then it must really exit.

In other words, the messaging menu should behave like the tray icon
plugin for xchat. I mean, the app is open, but it's "hidden" in tray
area. The same should happen with messaging menu. Empathy behaves like
that. Also pidgin in the notification (tray) area.
