Public bug reported: this issue happened already a second time. on my laptop i have a 80gig build-in harddisk and a 160gig harddisk attached with USB. During the Installation he asks me to choose on which harddisk I want to install the system. The first device is the build in disk and the second the external harddisk. It seems that the first option is marked, so I thought that he will install it on the first, build in, disk. But then he installs the system on the external disk, formatting the whole external disk.
In future I will always edit the partion manualy, but somebody should really fix this problem ProblemType: Bug Date: Sat Mar 24 02:54:07 2007 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 7.04 Uname: Linux judas 2.6.20-9-generic #2 SMP Mon Feb 26 03:01:44 UTC 2007 i686 GNU/Linux ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- installation issue - installed on the false harddisk https://launchpad.net/bugs/95307 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
