Same problem here running on Acer Aspire 5050 with Atheros AR5001 Wireless Network Adaptor. Everything was fine on Karmic until I upgraded to Lucid. Curiously, there is no problem with my Acer Aspire One (also running on Lucid), wich has the same wireless adaptor.
