Public bug reported: Binary package hint: openoffice.org2
Package: OpenOffice.org Version: 3.1.1 Ubuntu version: 9.10 Description of problem: Attempting to open any hyperlink in OpenOffice causes the Office application to freeze. This appears to be tied to the "/usr/lib/openoffice/program/../basis\-link/program/open-url" component, for once this process is killed, OpenOffice resumes working normally. Expected behaviour: It should be possible to keep using OpenOffice while the open-url process is running. Steps to reproduce: Create a text document. Place a hyper-lnk in the document. Hold the CTRL key and click on the link. OpenOffice freezes. This happens 100% of the time in my tests. ** Affects: openoffice.org (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Opening a hyperlink causes OpenOffice to freeze https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/586479 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
