Upstream bugs (in this instance, the upstream is KDE) can be tracked in Launchpad. A bug watch is usually set to follow the bug in bugs.kde.org [1]. Bugs should be rejected or resolved only if they are not bugs, or if the problem is fixed in the distribution.
That said, it would be nice if somebody could send the bug to the developers of the software. If you have done so, please tell us the number of the upstream bug. Thanks in advance!
