Please try booting wtih "i915.powersave=0": gksudo gedit /etc/default/grub Add "i915.powersave=0" to GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash" so it reads GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash i915.powersave=0" Save and exit, and then run "sudo update-grub" in a terminal. Then reboot.
