Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-panel
On certain boots of Ubuntu the panels display incorrectly, sometimes the network icon is missing, sometimes the date and time applet does not draw correctly, sometimes the username is drawn twice, sometimes the power off button is hidden. There is no logic as to when any of these will happen. Using Ubuntu 10.04 AMD64 with the default themes (Ambience) See screen shot panel-bug.png. Steps to reproduce: 1) Start Ubuntu Expected result: The panel draws each icon correctly and there is no overlap Actual result: Seemingly randomly certain Ubuntu boots causes the panel to draw icons overlapping each other ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 Package: gnome-panel 1:2.30.0-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.32-22.33-generic 2.6.32.11+drm33.2 Uname: Linux 2.6.32-22-generic x86_64 Architecture: amd64 CheckboxSubmission: 747fb8e876b564a76d76df120327e040 CheckboxSystem: 6ce041aeed0a2c17b3343b66d157175d Date: Sat May 22 10:31:49 2010 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.04 "Lucid Lynx" - Alpha amd64 (20091209) ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=en_GB:en LANG=en_GB.utf8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: gnome-panel ** Affects: gnome-panel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug lucid -- gnome panel overlaps https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/584150 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
