Good to know that somebody seems to know where's the problem.

Unfortunately the Mainline Kernel 2.6.34 for Lucid (which I'd like to
keep on using) doesn't work with Broadcom WLAN cards.

That's why I didn't even try to compile the above mentioned 2.6.34-rc7
based Maverick's kernel.

Does somebody know if there will be a Kernel release for Lucid with the
fix for our HDMI problem and working Braodcom STA drivers?
