Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xchat-gnome
Some servers, including * the default xchat-gnome server "irc.ubuntu.com" (on port 7000) * FreeNode "irc.freenode.net" (port 7000, too) support SSL. I suggest activating SSL support for these networks by default to increase privacy and security.
