I initially intended to attach this bug report to bug #582653. My apologies since I'm a noob here, first bug report :) . Fresh install of 10.04 with separate home partition carry over from 9.04. From the 9.04 installation only the home directories were untouched so all my Evolution settings and data were there from the get go of 10.04 and as far I as can recall I made no changes to the Evo settings since. Connecting every 2 mins to a POP/SMTP server using SSL connections both ways. I can not point to a specific event, Evo can run for days or close/crash within a few hours or moments. Most if not all close/crash occur during the night when the system is idle. Dmesg allays shows a segfault in my case however the culprit will/can be different. See examples below.
mich...@ubuntu-desktop:~/UPGRADE$ dmesg|grep evolution [165934.627303] evolution[29981]: segfault at 6f60020 ip 06f26349 sp bf9618f8 error 7 in libc-2.11.1.so[6e17000+153000] mich...@ubuntu-desktop:~/UPGRADE$ dmesg|grep evolution [239217.620553] evolution[24321]: segfault at 4 ip 085ac68a sp a9b761f0 error 4 in libglib-2.0.so.0.2400.0 (deleted)[8552000+c8000] When running Evo from a terminal I do not get any more information. Please let me know if I can contribute any other or more information. -- evolution crashed with SIGSEGV in __nptl_deallocate_tsd() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/576346 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
