I'm surprised to see that the E620 is working for both of you. I cannot get a connection with it. I've tried on two computers, one with 9.10 and one with 10.04.
On the machine with 10.04, I have kernel 2.6.32-22-generic, and I also installed usb-modeswitch_1.1.2-2 and usb-modeswitch-data_20100418-1. I still get the data storage device of the USB modem showing up on the desktop after I insert the stick. I'm attaching my syslog from when I inserted the modem (syslog_1) and when I try to connect through NetworkManager (syslog_2) ** Attachment added: "syslog_1" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/48735371/syslog_1 -- Huawei E620 usb modem doesn't work in 9.10 or 10.04 Beta 1 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/545985 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
