I can confirm this bug on a fresh installation of the final kubuntu 10.04 AMD64 on a Lenovo T61 notebook. This is what lspci tells about the graphic device:
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation Quadro NVS 140M (rev a1) I observed several scrambled icons, some got restored sometimes. Particularly if I switch windows with alt-tab some icons are scrambled and got restored when highlighted. Other like the bluetooth icon in the tray never got restored.
